The people that fell victim to the Holocaust had to live in horrific conditions for many years, and more often than not were very sick as a result of being overworked. A poor diet also lead to many people being malnourished. Whenever concentration camps were being liberated, the people inside them were put under a rapid diet change at the hands of the Allied forces. The soldiers thought they were doing a good deed by providing chocolate and other sweets to the survivors of the Holocaust.
However, the reality is that survivors of the Holocaust were actually being KILLED by eating too many sweets! Thousands of Jewish people died within the first week of being free as a result of the over indulgence of chocolate and other sweets.
