It is also home to Humana, one of the nation’s largest health insurance companies. They are even home to several Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations including Kindred Healthcare Incorporation, PharMerica, and Yum!Brands. Louisville is the seat for the Presbyterian Church in the U.S., as well.
They also have a tie to the entertainment industry. Louisville actually manufactures 90 percent of the United States disco balls at National Production, Inc. several films have been made near Louisville, too, including Goldfinger, Stripes, The Insider, Lawn Dogs, Nice Guys Sleep Alone, and Elizabethtown. Speaking of entertainment, Louisville is home to the Brown-Forman Corporation that makes one third of all bourbon whiskey. Other major distilleries are located in Louisville, too.
