The religious police, who enforce an interpretation of Islam that includes a ban on shaving, arrested dozens of barbers for trimming the hair of the capital's youth in the Titanic style. Men who had the hairstyle were also arrested.
Over 30 barbers were detained and the rest were warned what would happen to them if they cut men’s hair in such a way. The Taliban refused to comment on the issue when pressed by journalists.
