Tycho Brahe was a Danish astronomer born in the 1500s. He was a well-known nobleman who made his mark as an alchemist and astronomer. He married and had eight children. On top of all that, Tycho had a pet moose.
He often held large parties at his castle where he had tamed his moose. Tycho took his tame moose to a dinner party at another nobleman’s home. Apparently, the moose drank way too much beer, fell down a flight of stairs, and died.
Tycho himself was at a dinner party in Prague where he contracted a kidney or bladder sickness and died eleven days later. One of his contemporaries said he died of kidney stones, but no stones were found in his autopsy.
At the dinner party he had attended, he refused to leave the table to use the restroom, even though he really needed to. It is against dinner etiquette. When he finally got home, he couldn’t pee at all. After 11 days without peeing, he finally died.
