In an article written by Jason Malloy, posted on gnxp.com, Malloy discusses multiple factors related to sexual activity. Apparently, those with high and low IQs are both less likely to have had sex in high school than those with more average intelligence.
For males with IQs under 70, 63.3% of those studied were virgins, while 50.2% of those with IQs between 70 and 90 were virgins, 58.6% of those with IQs between 90 and 110 were virgins, and 70.3% of those with IQs higher than 110 were virgins. This has been confirmed in multiple studies, too.
The general trend is that those with IQs above 100 and below 70 are much less likely to have had sex. Another study noted that those with IQs between 75 and 90 had the lowest probability of being virgins.
Additionally, this trend continues on through adulthood. Interestingly, this is the same IQ range where a propensity for crime develops. So if you’re down about being a virgin, be proud! You’re probably smarter than the rest.
