Abraham Lincoln’s family line completely died off in 1985 when Robert Todd Lincoln Beckwith died without any children! The Lincolns descended family comprises all the descendants of Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln. There are ten known descendants of Lincoln. The family line has been extinct since its last undisputed descendant, Robert Todd Lincoln Beckwith, died on December 24, 1985 without any children.
Robert's second wife had a son, and named him Timothy Lincoln Beckwith, and listed Robert as the father. Robert, however, denied paternity of the child, and a divorce court ruled that he was not the father. Many others bearing the Lincoln family name do exist and share common ancestors with the former president such as Tom Hanks and George Clooney. However, when Robert died, so did the family line of Lincolns related to Abraham Lincoln.
