He was arrested later that night, less than half an hour after videotapes of him taken from the surveillance cameras were broadcast on the 11oclock news.
When he saw the police on his door steps, Wheeler mumbled “But I wore the juice.” It turns out that Wheeler thought that rubbing one’s face with lemon juice would render it invisible to videotape cameras because lemon juice can be used to make invisible ink. If only all criminals took a page out of Wheeler’s book the world would be a better place.
