There's a creepy island in Mexico with hundreds of old dolls!
The story of this island south of Mexico city starts about 50 years ago. A little girl drowned on that island in the canals of Xochimico. The lone resident of the island fished a doll out of the water soon after the girl died. The next day she fished another one.
Convinced that was a sign from the netherworld, she started collecting old dolls and hung them around the island. She believed these dolls were vessels for spirits that keep the dead girl company and prevent further evil from coming to the island.
