Please guys, let’s refrain from any Gangnam style jokes for this one. There was a time when a cat-cafe in South Korea would have been for eating cats, but that practice is not commonplace anymore as more people have taken to them as pets, especially with the popularity of Hello Kitty. Cat cafes are evidence of South Korea’s shifting attitude towards cats. Cat Cafes are kind of like regular coffee shops, only they’re just a little bit better because they come equipped with a bunch of furry felines.
You can come in to sip on a capichino and pet a cat for just about has long as you want. There are only a few rules: -Don’t pick up the kittens -Don’t pick up an angry cat (this is just a rule of life, really) -Don’t spank the cats -Use hand sanitizer before petting the cats. But if you can’t afford a trip to Korea, the internet is also a pretty good place to hang out with cats for several hours while sipping on coffee.
