For most kids an escalator looks like a giant mechanical playground that’s begging to be played on.
This is for most kids who get to see escalators on a daily basis. Now imagine a child from Wyoming, who most likely has never seen one in person unless they traveled to another state or to Casper, Wyoming.
This is because there are only two escalators in the entire state, and they’re both in Casper. One is in the Frist National Bank building and the other is in the Hilltop National Bank. That equates to about 0.000003467 escalators to people in 2012!
Now, it’s not that the least populous state is making a health or anti-modernization statement by not building escalators. Instead they claim elevators are more economical and efficient!
Some people say that this may be dangerous because of the lack of education over these. They say because children see it as a novelty, they might be more prone to accidents.
