Burger King just launched new french fries that took them 10 years to develop!
Burger King just announced their new french fry product, called the Satisfries. The selling point is that the Satisfries have 40% less fat and 30% fewer calories than normal.
Cooky-name aside, this is a pretty big advance in french fry technology, if there is such a thing. How did they do it?
It took them 10 years, but they developed a batter that makes sure potatoes absorb less oil, while maintaining the same crispy / fluffy contrast between outside and inside.
So how do they stack up? It seems like they taste pretty good, and according to the source, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between real fries and these new ones.
