To play this instrument, you must learn to breath circularly!

The didgeridoo was invented by indigenous Australians nearly 1,500 years ago. This wind instrument is still played around the world today. It looks a little like a clarinet but has been described as a wooden trumpet as well.

Modern didgeridoos is cylindrical and can measure anywhere from 1 - 3 meters long. Generally, the longer it is, the lower it's pitch.

To play the didgeridoo, you must continually vibrate your lips and also practice circular breathing. To do this, you must breathe in through the nose while at the same time, expelling stored air through the mouth. In theory, by using this technique, a person can sustain a note as long as necessary.
