While visiting the British Embassy in Washington D.C. a diplomat cut off a lock of Ringo Starr's hair!

On February 11, 1964, after their sold out concert at a stadium in Washington, The Beatles thought it might be a good idea to visit the British Embassy in Washington D.C.

Of course, there were hundreds of fans waiting outside the embassy for The Beatles to arrive - and the scene is reported to have been absolutely chaotic.

The Beatles had a few drinks with the British diplomats as they mingled about who knows what. The diplomats and the band were becoming increasingly silly, but one diplomat thought it would be a good idea to cut off a lock of Ringo's hair as a souvenir. Understandably, Ringo flipped out and yelled at the diplomat.

After that incident, The Beatles felt uncomfortable and thought it would be in there best interest to leave the British Embassy. In an interview, Ringo was asked about the incident and he said "These diplomats just don't know to behave."
