There was a guitarist so good, Beethoven called him a Mini-Orchestra by himself!
Mauro Giuseppe Sergio Pantaleo Giuliani (July 27, 1781 – May 8, 1829) was an Italian guitarist (With an extremely long name), cellist and composer, and is considered by many to be one of the leading guitar virtuosi of the early 19th century.
His music was so beautiful that he was able to define a new role for the guitar in the context of European music! He was acquainted with the highest figures of Austrian society, such as Rossini and yes, you guessed it: Beethoven!
Beethoven was so amazed by his music that after hearing Giuliani play, commented the instrument was “a miniature orchestra in itself” At least he was able to enjoy that mini orchestra before going deaf!
