Freddie Mercury was a British musician, singer, and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the rock band Queen (ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS THAT HAVE EVER EXISTED).
As a performer, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and powerful vocals over a four-octave range. As a songwriter, Mercury composed many hits for Queen, such as Bohemian Rhapsody and We are the champions. He also led a solo career, and also occasionally served as a producer and guest musician for other artists. He died of bronchopneumonia brought on by AIDS, only one day after publicly acknowledging that he had the disease.
Besides playing and singing at live shows,, Freddie Mercury had other big passions in life, and like any other human being he really enjoyed having fun times. His way of having fun was by holding big parties with very weird occurrences, such as having midgets carrying around trays of cocaine on their heads for all of his guests.
