The song 'Mother' by Danzig is about parental advisory stickers on albums!

Danzig is an American heavy metal band that was formed in 1987 and was heavily influenced by Black Sabbath. Glenn Danzig, the front man of the band, claims that 'Mother' is one of the greatest songs he has ever written.

He claims that it was the type of song he had always wanted to write, but he never expected it to be as big of a hit as it was. 'Mother' reached number 17 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks, and is still known today as the band's most successful song.

Most fans of the band do not realize that the song has a very strong message that can be easily picked up throughout the songs lyrics. The song raises questions about the at the time recently added 'Parental Advisory' stickers placed on albums featuring explicit content! The song questions parents motives, and says that they can't hide their children from the 'waiting world' forever!
