Jack Gleeson is best known for his role as Joffrey Baratheon on HBO's hit TV show, Game of Thrones. The Ireland native started his acting in the local theater when he was 7 called Independent Theatre Workshop. From there he had minor roles in films like Batman Begins, Shrooms, and A Shine of Rainbows.
In 2009, Gleeson was given the role of Joffrey in Game of Thrones. He has said that Joaquin Phoenix's character in The Gladiator has influences how he portrays his character, Joffrey, in Game of Thrones. He has been kept on as the original cast since season one through season three.
He has been praised for how easy he has made for Joffrey to be hated. His costars have said that they're always concerned for him when he's out at bars. They're afraid that a drunk fan might think he's as evil as Joffrey is!
