Some people have randomly burst into flames!
Many accounts of spontaneous human combustion are historical, however in February 2013, authorities in Muldrow, Oklahoma found the incinerated body of sixty-five year old Danny Vanzandt.
While he seemed to be burned alive, his home was nearly undamaged. Foul play was soon ruled out and the body was inspected for answers. Coroners found that the body seemed to have burned at a low temperature for more than six hours.
The victim was a heavy drinker. It has been speculated that the methane-related compounds that the human body produces during metabolism could have fueled a fire when combined with the alcohol and set the man alight.
