Many cultures have the same belief that the Earth rests on the back of a giant turtle!

This is known as the Geoterrapinism Theory. Other similar theories claim that we might be living on the back of an elephant or serpent, but the most widely recognized and accepted of all these beliefs is that the Earth is situated on the back of a giant turtle.
This theory was first brought to the European public's attention in the 17th century after a man named Jasper Danckeaerts learned about it from some Native American he came across. However, the Natives are not the only ones who subscribed to this idea. It was also prevalent in Chinese and Indian culture.
So, if you want to make it in this world, be nice to turtles.
