The voice of Darth Vader originally didn't want to be associated with Star Wars!

Star Wars has become a cult classic, and is internationally recognized by some of it's key characters like Yoda, Luke Skywalker, and Darth Vader. Despite the movie reaching such a success, many of the actors, including the movie studio that funded the film, 20th Century Fox, believed that the film was going to be a box office flop.

James Earl Jones, the man who voiced Darth Vader, was one of the people in the cast that so strongly believed that the movie was going to be a failure that he asked to have his name removed from the credits. Once the film was released and it was an astonishing success, he asked to have his name put back into the credits.

Why did so many people believe the movie was going to be a failure? The script was very confusing for the actors which led to a lot of awkward moments, almost everyone in the cast was completely inexperienced, and because the cast and crew thought the script was too complicated for anyone watching the film to understand it!
