The bricks at Cinderella's Castle get smaller as they go up to make it look taller than it is!
Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom is indeed a magical place. It brings to life so many fairy tales and fantasies. The castle itself has a toy-like effect, sometimes making you question just how real it is.
Some parts of it, it turns out, are not what they appear to be. The outside appears to be white and grey stone but is in fact a reinforced plaster. No actual bricks were used in it's construction.
And while the castle is 190 feet tall (100 feet taller than Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland), it looks even taller. The castle uses a technique called "forced perspective." As it gets taller, it's parts get smaller, making them appear further away than they are. Hence, the castle looks taller.
