Gordon Ramsay is one of the most renowned, and terrifying, chefs in the world. He rose to global prominence for his cooking and entrepreneur abilities, earning 13 Michelin stars throughout his career. Kitchen Nightmares is one of his shows that features restaurants on the brink of collapse before he enters and renovates the building, staff, and terrible food.
The show became popular after people realized how much they loved watching how his blunt honesty, also called being an asshole, helps people get moving and fix their lives. Ramsay’s show usually ends on a high note as restaurant owners acknowledge their terrible leadership and thank Gordon for saving their lives, and although he usually follows up his endeavor with a visit a month later, nearly 60% of the restaurants have closed!
This can’t exactly be attributed to Ramsay because although he attempted to help the fledgling kitchens, a master chef can only do so much for places so disgusting cholera poisoning often looks like a more likely result than a full stomach.
