The extremely popular company Duracell, manufactures and sells batteries. While batteries themselves are a nuisance to get rid of in an environmentally friendly way, the company decided that it was going to be different.
The company constructed an entirely new international headquarters, using their own garbage/recycled materials from their products. More than half of the building's waste features materials that would have otherwise been garbage after the manufacturing process.
The building features flooring made of crushed glass and broken light bulbs, ceiling tiles made from recycled newspaper, and roofing made of recycled aluminium!
