In 2001, Ashton Kutcher was going to a Grammys party with his then-girlfriend. When he went to pick her up, nobody answered. He peeked through the window and saw red stains on the carpet. Thinking they were red wine stains, he left for the party by himself.
It was later discovered that the stains were blood stains. His girlfriend and another woman had been murdered. The girlfriend's family accused Kutcher of hindering the investigation on who had done it, because he didn't call the police when he noticed the blood stains.
Seven years later, DNA evidence linked an AC repairman to the two murders there, and another murder in a Chicago suburb. Kutcher, who was upset with the family for accusing him of negligence, had no comment on the development.
