Clik here to view.Bamboo, a tree that grows primarily in the warmer climate of Asia, is said to have the ability to grow up to 100cm [39 inches] in the span of 24 hours. However, the average bamboo tree only grow around 3-10cm [1.2-3.9 inches] per day.
Bamboo's ability to grow faster than any other tree has led many companies in Asia to use Bamboo as their typical source of wood. They use it for paper, and for their every day lumber needs.
Another little piece of information that you can take away from this is that the sap inside of bamboo trees eventually ferments, which becomes alcoholic over time...and gorillas are known for intentionally just drinking the sap!
