Canada's Alzheimer Society's official flower is a forget-me-not.
Alzheimer's is a terrible reminder of how fragile the human mind really is. One of the key symptoms of Alzheimer's is memory loss, however there are many more including difficulty with day-to-day tasks, and changes in mood and behaviour.
The problem with Alzheimer's is that a lot of cases go undiagnosed because people assume that memory loss is a natural way to age, but it isn't.
The official flower of the Canadian Alzheimer Society is a forget-me-not, which is, of course, a representation of memory loss and a reminder to all those affected by Alzheimer's to stay strong and endure.
