Pizza Hut delivered a pizza to the International Space Station!
Pizza Hut paid the Russian government approximately $1 Million in order to send a pizza to the astronauts at the International Space Station and make a commercial out of the whole experience.
Although NASA doesn’t allow their space program to be used for commercials and product placement – the Russian government saw nothing wrong with it.
What kind of pizza did they deliver? Salami. They tried to test pepperoni, but it failed their tests, so they had to go with a different cold cut. Interestingly, Pizza Hut also got their logo emblazoned on the side of the rocket as it launched, exposing their space antics to 5 million people.
