The Beatles is the most famous rock’n’roll band of all time. Formed in Liverpool, England in 1960 they became the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed musical group in history.
The Beatles, as they say, broke the mold. Made up of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, John Lennon and George Harrison, the group was together from 1960 to 1970.
During this time, they produced such famous albums as Rubber Sole, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band, and Abbey Road. After breaking up, each went on to be successful in music.
While they may have broken up in 1970, they did not officially separate until 1974 when John Lennon signed the final paperwork. And he signed it, of all places, at the Polynesian Resort in Walt Disney World.
On December 29, 1974, John Lennon received the extensive paperwork ending the greatest band in history. He signed it at the Polynesian Resort and ended The Beatles forever.
